Meet Pastor George

Pastor Morrison was born and raised in Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school in 1965, he attended Thaddeus Stevens Technical College. In 1968 Pastor Morrison joined the Marines and was sent to South Vietnam in 1969. While there he was stationed at Quang-tri were he served as crew chief for a OV-10A Bronco Aircraft as well as a door gunner in a UH1E helicopter and earned his combat air crew wings. He returned from his tour of duty at the end of 1969 and moved to Colorado in 1972.

After trying many things in search for life’s meaning, Pastor Morrison had a dramatic conversion experience with Jesus Christ in 1971. This change gave him a new direction, and from that time forward, he became actively involved in pursuing God’s will for his life. After meeting and marrying his wife, Cheryl, in 1972, he graduated from FBC’s Bible College in 1974, later becoming a teacher and director of the college. In his earlier years of ministry, he and his wife Cheryl served as house parents for a youth home of 32 young people who desired discipleship. Pastor Morrison was ordained in 1975 and served as an associate pastor at Faith Bible Chapel until 1984 when he assumed the responsibility of Senior Pastor.
