Discover Classes
FBC offers a series of three-hour classes to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus and discover His purpose for your life. After taking the 101 class you are welcome to attend any of the other classes offered. Classes are scheduled from 9:00 am, to 12:00 pm, at the Ward Road Campus, in Rooms 254-256. Children, 5th grade and younger, may stay in their Sunday School class. Children, junior-high ages and older, may attend the Discover Classes. |
.:: ALPHA COURSE ::.
An introduction to the Christian Faith
The Alpha course is a 9-Week Practical Introduction to the Christian Faith. It is an exciting experience with food, worship, and God's Word presented in a comfortable environment. The Alpha course includes: brunch, group teaching, small-group discussion, and a weekend retreat. |
ALPHA is for everyone! It's especially geared to:
- People interested in investigating Christianity
- Newcomers to the church
- New Christians
- Those who want to brush up on the basics
ALPHA is a series of talks on topic such as:
- Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
- Who is Jesus?
- Why and How do I Pray?
- How Can I Overcome Evil?
- Why did Jesus Die?
- What About the Holy Spirit?
- Why and How Should I tell others?
After each talk there is a small-group time for everyone to discuss any questions or issues they have. This gives an opportunity to get to know each other and to learn together.
The ALPHA course is held Sunday mornings. We will start at 10:30 am, and end at 12:15 pm, in the West Gym, on the West Campus.
The fall ALPHA class meets September 7 - November 23, 2008
Breakfast will be provided each Sunday to all participants!

Discovering Your Church Family
This three-hour class will introduce you to Faith Bible Chapel's history, purposes and ministries. This class meets the first Sunday of each month at the Ward Road Campus from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in Room 254. Discovering Spiritual Maturity
God has a purpose for you; it is higher than your greatest dream. Find out what spiritual maturity is and how to pursue it as your chief goal in life. You will get practical tips on how to get the most out of spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Bible study, church involvement and giving. Most of all, you will learn the secret of unleashing the power of God in your life to become what you never could achieve by your most serious efforts. Your commitment to spiritual maturity is important; not that you are already perfect, but that you are fully open to God working out His purpose in you life.

Discovering Your Life Mission
"401" will help you consider your life mission in the world. It is designed to help you understand what you can be doing for the Kingdom of God while your are alive and well on planet Earth. We will help you understand what the Bible teaches concerning the "Will of God" for your life. We will address how to relate to your neighbors, your church, old friends, new friends, and coworkers as a Christian. "What do I say to others? and "How do I live out this Christian life?" are questions that we will help you answer. We will also cover how the church is to relate to the larger Christian community, the world, and Israel. You learn individual responsibility in the "Kingdom of God" as well as the church's responsibility.
